Nex-Tech Donates $50,000 to Norton County Regional Health Foundation

NORTON, Kan, December 21, 2023 – On Thursday, December 21, 2023, Nex-Tech extended support to the Norton Regional Health Foundation by presenting a generous donation of $50,000. This significant contribution is aimed at aiding the Foundation’s initiative to procure a state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner for the Norton County Hospital.

CT Scanners serve as indispensable tools in medical facilities, allowing for detailed exploration inside the human body. These scans encompass vital areas such as the brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and various organs. They play a pivotal role in diagnosing diseases or injuries by accurately pinpointing their location, type, and severity. Particularly in critical and chronic cases, CT scans often serve as life-saving interventions.

The Norton County Hospital needs an upgraded CT Scanner, valued at approximately $400,000. This modern equipment promises advanced technological capabilities, enabling the production of higher-quality images crucial for precise and informed diagnoses. Enhanced CT technology has the potential to significantly reduce the necessity for invasive surgeries and biopsies, thereby offering patients the benefits of saved time and reduced financial burden. Additionally, the new scanner boasts cutting-edge features, such as radiation dose reduction, prioritizing patient comfort, and delivering superior quality care.

The Norton Regional Health Foundation is a 501(c) non-profit organization that focuses on the importance of rural health and health care. Nex-Tech’s donation to the Foundation qualifies for state income tax credits. Donors get 70% of their gift back in state income tax credits.

The tax credit program is a win-win for both Nex-Tech and for Norton County Health Foundation. Nex-Tech has a rich history of giving back and supporting communities. These programs encourage philanthropic giving but also provide some tax incentives for the donor. This allows businesses to enhance their support while making a positive impact on local organizations in the community.

“Nex-Tech remains dedicated to nurturing the communities within our reach, exemplifying our commitment to supporting essential healthcare advancements and initiatives,” said Jimmy Todd, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Nex-Tech.
