At the heart of the plains of Kansas, where the horizon on every side is dotted with farms and ranches and the sunsets are a beauty to behold, you’ll find the city of Goessel. Nex-Tech has connected dozens of families and businesses in Goessel to the rest of the world, powered by our gigabit-speed fiber optic network. Early this year, we completed our construction in the city and the entire rural exchange. With this network comes various opportunities for community economic development, including telehealth, e-learning, remote work, gaming, precision agriculture, large-scale data transfer, and more.

Recently, I spent some time in the Goessel area visiting with members of the city council and sharing opportunities for partnerships. We talked about some initiatives Nex-Tech has, such as our Revolving Loan Fund, the Nex-Tech Academy, and the Smart Rural Communities program. I presented the City with the Smart Rural Community Certificate and a Road Sign. These two resources will enable the community to showcase its readiness for investment as well as inform visitors and potential residents about the world-class infrastructure that Nex-Tech provides the city.
