Nex-Tech Announces 2025 Technology Education Sponsorship Recipients
Hays, KS – August 27, 2025 – Nex-Tech honored the ambitions of two dedicated students during a special signing day event, marking an important step in their pursuit of careers in technology. Through the Technology Education Sponsorship, these students are set on a promising path toward joining the Nex-Tech team. This dynamic initiative, established in partnership with Fort Hays Tech | North Central, provides full coverage of tuition and books for individuals studying Telecommunications & Network Technology, Information Technology, or Construction while a Nex-Tech internship integrates practical experience with their academic journey. After completing the program, recipients transition into roles at Nex-Tech, prepared to contribute and thrive in the industry.
This year’s sponsorship recipients include Anthony Bonaccorso, son of Kayla Meyer of Russell, KS, and Layton Wyatt, son of Shanea Wyatt & Tim Werner of Phillipsburg, KS. Both students will pursue degrees in Telecommunications.
Kevin Karlin and Xavier Bouray, both former Nex-Tech employees, will lead the Telecommunications & Network Technology curriculum.
“This is Nex-Tech’s fourth year sponsoring Telecommunications and Technology students at Fort Hays Tech | North Central, as our workforce demand continues to exceed the supply in our region. We welcome Anthony Bonaccorso and Layton Wyatt as the latest inductees into the sponsorship program,” said Mike Pollock, Nex-Tech’s Chief Operating Officer.

Anthony and Layton expressed gratitude for the opportunity, eager to begin their journey. “I am excited to start learning and starting my career with Nex-Tech as a successful technician”, said Anthony Bonaccorso. Layton Wyatt reflected, “I’m excited for this sponsorship because it provides hands-on experiences in a growing industry and helps me take the next step toward a career in technology. I appreciate Nex-Tech’s investment in local students and the opportunity to connect with industry professionals early on.”
