RTU (Remote Terminal Unit)
The Model 5000 RTU is the next generation of the Cordell site management platform that expands and enhances Nex-Tech’s remote monitoring product suite.
The Model 5000 enables site alarm monitoring as well as wireless (Wi-Fi) device aggregation and equipment connectivity. It also acts as a remote device, supplying alarms and notifications to a centralized network monitoring system. The RTU is designed to enhance network management strategy, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
New aggregation capabilities support simplified installation processes previously unattainable with traditional site management systems. Options supported include Wi-Fi, 900Mhz sensor connectivity, and wireless configuration via mobile applications.
In continuing Nex-Tech’s goal of performing protocol mediation and interface conversion, the Model 5000 collects alarms and performance data. Ethernet, fiber, and wireless communication options support bi-directional management with NOC Cloud management systems.
