Norton and Oberlin Receive Smart Rural Community Resources
Written by: Ella Burrows
The cities of Norton and Oberlin are tight-knit and vibrant communities located in Norton County and Decatur County, Kansas. Nex-Tech is proud to have served Norton for many decades and has recently added Oberlin to our service area!
In July, I had the opportunity to speak with the city commissions in both Norton and Oberlin and present them with a Smart Rural Communities road sign and certificate!
During my presentations, I shared information regarding Nex-Tech’s Revolving Loan Fund, the Foundation for Rural Service Community Grant, and the Nex-Tech Academy before presenting the Smart Rural Communities road sign.
Being recognized as a Smart Rural Community highlights the cities of Norton and Oberlin’s commitment to ensuring their residents have access to high-quality fiber broadband, as well as their belief in the power of connectivity. This recognition is an excellent marketing tool and can be used to attract new residents and businesses to the area!
Any town or city served by Nex-Tech is eligible to receive Smart Rural Community Resources! Request Smart Rural Community Resources here: https://www.nex-tech.com/about/economic-development/smart-rural-community-provider/.
