Duties also include working closely with customers answering questions, processing adjustments to accounts, and resolving billing issues. The right person must maintain a proficient knowledge of products and services, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to work alone with minimal supervision.
 
Requirements:
High school diploma, or equivalent.
One year of customer service, telephone sales, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Marketing Specialist, Nex-Tech Service Area/Remote

Communications Technician – Atwood, Kansas

Our Communications Technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots Layer 1 distribution and transport plant, Layer 2 transport and access, and customer premise equipment. Restores buildings and grounds disrupted during service work. Installs and troubleshoots DSL, FTTH, POTS, IPTV/CATV, Wireless, Security/Surveillance Systems, Small Phone Systems, Hosted PBX, Enterprise Session Border Controller, voicemail paging systems and Network wiring. Updates billing system on completion of service orders to keep records up to date. Locates copper and fiber plant, marks the route, and exposes, as necessary. Relocation package options available.
 
Requirements:
Technical Degree in Communication Technology or the equivalent of two years related work experience. Wireless Internet installation experience beneficial. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
 

Network Operations Center Technician I – Victoria, KS

Our NOC is growing, and we need you to help make it happen! If you are experienced working with network operations and have a strong desire to work for a leader in the communications industry, you may be ready to join our Nex-Tech NOC team!
 
Our NOC Technicians monitor internal and external communications networks 24\7\365. Duties will include monitoring, assessing, and troubleshooting Telecommunications, Data, and IPTV equipment for network faults and equipment alarms. Additional duties will include opening trouble tickets and managing ticket queues for response, follow up, and event escalations. NOC Technicians will be required to notify management and customer/clients of priority issues, provide timely status updates appropriately and follow all NOC processes and operating procedures to drive network issues to resolution. This candidate needs to be an exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing, as well as a computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering a wide variety of applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet software, and E-mail support.
 
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, or the equivalent.
  • Associates degree in Communications, Telecommunications and/or Electronics Engineering degree preferred.
  • Six months to two years of previous experience in network surveillance and/or network monitoring, as well as previous experience with Network Monitoring tools and report generation preferred.
  • CCNA and/or Layer 2, and Layer 3 networking experience helpful.
  • Candidate may be required to work weekends and some holidays.
  • A background check will be required for this position.
 

Full-Time Construction Assistant – Victoria, KS

 
If you like working outdoors and have heavy equipment experience, this may be the perfect fit for you!
 
Nex-Tech is seeking a Construction Assistant to operate digging, trenching, and cable installation equipment. Must be able to perform manual work to complete work orders, troubleshoot and repair buried and aerial plant, and maintain right-of-way. Assists with splicing cables and pulling cables to appropriate locations. Duties also include routine maintenance of construction equipment. Summer and winter work conditions.
 
Requirements:
18 years of age, high school diploma or the equivalent, and three months of construction experience working with heavy equipment. Prior telecommunications experience beneficial. Must possess a valid driver’s license. CDL not required but preferred. Must be able to meet physical requirements.
