Full-Time Customer Sales Assistant- Norton, KS

Nex-Tech is a broadband and technology company that connects thousands of people and businesses through a robust fiber network. We deliver the highest quality Internet, with speeds up to 1 Gig, streaming TV, home security, and local and long-distance phone service. Nex-Tech also provides an array of enterprise solutions including cloud services, Hosted PBX, network security, managed IT, physical security and surveillance, advertising solutions, and network operations monitoring to business clients nationwide. Nex-Tech focuses on providing our customers the best technology and support with the best people and has been doing so for more than 70 years.
 
Our Customer Sales Assistant sells and promotes products and services, prepares customer contracts, and processes payments. Duties also include working closely with customers answering questions, processing adjustments to accounts, and resolving billing issues. The right person must be outgoing, maintain a proficient knowledge of products and services, have excellent oral and written communication skills, be community driven, and must also be willing to travel to work in various offices in the Nex-Tech service area.
 
Desired Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
  • Skill in customer service and customer relations.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer using data base, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to listen to the customer, determine needs, and suggest appropriate technology solutions.
 
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma, or the equivalent
  • One year of customer service, telephone sales, or equivalent work experience preferred

Customer Solutions Specialist - Salina KS

Nex-Tech has a great new opportunity to join our Customer Sales and Ad Solutions Teams!
 
This a hybrid position that will report to Customer Sales, but also assist with Marketing activities. Our Customer Solutions Specialist sells products and services to Nex-Tech and Nex-Tech Wireless customers recommending a complete technology solution to best fit their needs. Answers customers questions about features, products, services, availability, speeds, and options. Provides billing/payment information in compliance with Customer Proprietary Network Information(CPNI).
 
Works closely with the Advertising Solutions team to develop advertising strategies, media plans, and solutions to creative and logistical problems for Nex-Tech. Plan and implement sales strategies and events to gain new customers; may including sign-up event, door to door sales and attending local events to promote and showcase Nex-Tech.
 
The ideal candidate should have strong ties to the Salina area, must live in Salina, and have a history of community involvement.
 
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
  • Ability to describe and demonstrate products and features to customers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot wireless phone handset issues and fulfill phone guard claims.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and industry trends.
  • Ability to complete work accurately under time constraints and deadlines.

Network Operations Center Technician I – Victoria, KS

Our NOC is growing, and we need you to help make it happen! If you are experienced working with network operations and have a strong desire to work for a leader in the communications industry, you may be ready to join our Nex-Tech NOC team!
 
Our NOC Technicians monitor internal and external communications networks 24/7/365. Duties will include monitoring, assessing, and troubleshooting telecommunications and data. Other duties will include opening trouble tickets and managing ticket queues for response, follow up, and event escalations as well as responding to inbound phone calls, emails, and requests as needed. We offer a four-day work week option with multiple shifts available, including shift differential pay opportunities.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:
  • Ability to perform network surveillance utilizing standard industry monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking configuration, operations, and support of business networking equipment.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or the equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in communications, telecommunications, and/or electronics engineering is preferred.
  • Six months to two years of previous experience in network surveillance and/or network monitoring preferred.
