If you like working outdoors and have experience in cable installation and splicing, or have used digging and trenching equipment, bucket trucks, and other construction equipment, we may have a position for you.

Nex-Tech is seeking Seasonal Construction Assistants to operate various cable installation equipment to complete work orders, maintain and repair buried and aerial plant and equipment, and maintain right-of-way. Duties will also include routine maintenance and stocking and cleaning of service vehicles and construction equipment. Summer and winter work conditions. Applicant must be able to travel with work crew to Quinter, Wakeeney, Victoria & Lenora.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as: maps, blueprints, schematics, staking sheets, and operating/maintenance instruction manuals.
• Ability to kneel, crawl, and stoop well enough to repair equipment in cramped areas.
• Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Knowledge of RUS codes and regulations and construction practices.

Education and Experience:

• 18 years of age.
• Prior construction, farm, heavy equipment or telecommunications experience helpful.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, CDL beneficial but not required.
