What is Protection Plus?

The Protection Plus maintenance plan includes three flexible options. Protection Plus ensures the inside wiring and jacks in your home that run your phone, Internet and TV service will stay in proper working condition. In addition, Protection Plus gives you peace of mind that if any of your Nex-Tech TV or Internet equipment stops working as expected, we will troubleshoot it and repair or replace it. This includes TV receivers and remote controls and your wireless router provided by Nex-Tech. In addition, the top level of Protection Plus includes Nex-Tech's Premium Wi-Fi, which ensures you have complete Wi-Fi coverage in your whole house.

Why would I want it?

In the event that your Nex-Tech TV or Internet equipment stops working, you can rest assured that the Nex-Tech technical support team will walk you through the troubleshooting process, and if your issue can't be resolved over the phone, we’ll arrange for a professional technician to come to your home during normal business hours to fix or replace the equipment.

Without Protection Plus

  • Replacement of TV receivers is included with service either by picking up replacement at a Nex-Tech store, mail delivery or delivery by a Nex-Tech employee for a $55 delivery charge during normal business hours.
  • $110/hour Charge for a professional technician to troubleshoot and repair wiring, jacks or other issues related to your Nex-Tech services in your home.
  • $10 Remote Replacement Fee.

What does it cover?

If you experience problems at your home such as static on the line, or failure of your TV receiver or a Nex-Tech provided router, Protection Plus will cover the charge for a professional technician to come to your home. After an evaluation, the technician will repair any issues caused by wiring, jacks, Internet service, your Nex-Tech provided wireless router, Nex-Tech TV receivers or TV service. If the problem is your TV remote control, you may receive a new remote for free at your local Nex-Tech store. If the problem is a customer caused issue, such as damage to the equipment, jacks or wiring caused by a pet or by dropping the equipment, Protection Plus will cover only the first occurrence.

What doesn’t it cover?

  • Installation of new jacks
  • Repair of telephones
  • Business Telephone Systems, such as a key system or PBX
  • Business networking
  • Televisions and other equipment from other providers (e.g. Roku, Google Chromecast, etc.)
  • Computers and all peripheral devices
  • Remote control batteries or battery replacement
  • Wireless router not provided by Nex-Tech
  • Customer-caused issues, such as pets chewing on wires, accidentally cutting a wire during a home remodel, etc. (Protection Plus will only cover the first instance.)

By typing your name, you are signing this Agreement electronically. You agree your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual signature on this Agreement.
By signing, I the subscriber, agree to subscribe to Nex-Tech, Inc’s (Nex-Tech) Protection Plus plan for a term of 24 months from the date of my related trouble, in lieu of paying for the full cost to send a professional technician to my home. If for any reason I choose to terminate the agreement before the 24-month term, I will be assessed a Two Hundred dollar ($200.00) early termination fee (ETF) in addition to any previous outstanding balance due on my account.
