  • It is no longer necessary to dial 9 to reach an off-campus number.
  • For long distance, dial 1 followed by the area code and number.
  • For local calls, dial the 7-digit phone number (785 area code is optional). View local prefixes (Hays, KS).
  • Pressing # after dialing a 4-digit extension or phone number will send the call more quickly.
  • Record your personal voicemail greeting to replace the default greeting (see voicemail instructions). VoIP phones have built-in message waiting lights (in the upper right corner).
  • To request Speed Dials or changes to existing Speed Dials, download (save) and follow the instructions on this PDF form.  For assistance downloading the Speed Dial form, please call the Nex-Tech Business Concierge. 
  • You will not be notified when your Speed Dials are set up; they will be programmed into the system as soon as possible. After your Speed Dials have been set up, they will automatically display on your phone's screen following an overnight system update.
