Power Supply/Battery Backup
The power supply is placed inside the home or business in a location chosen by the owner of the property. The power supply must be plugged into a wall outlet and be within 100 feet of the NID to ensure proper connectivity. This device also serves as a battery backup. In the event of a power outage, the customer would retain telephone service for up to 8 hours. The electricity to the power supply will cost about 2 cents per day or $8.00 per year. It is comparable to running a plug-in night light. |
