In a recent contest sponsored by Nex-Tech, local fourth graders were asked to document in photographs their favorite locations or activities in Victoria and Hoxie. Nex-Tech provided cameras to each student, then developed the film for judging.
Photographs were scored for creativity, use of color, lighting, angles and subject matter. The winning student was Kali Weber, with a picture of St. Fidelis Church.
“Nex-Tech values the youth in all of the communities we serve,” said Mendi Alexander, Economic Development and Networking Specialist for Nex-Tech.“They are our future citizens and leaders, and we wanted to know what they are most proud of in their community.”
This year, the contest took place in Victoria and Hoxie. The contest will continue, rotating through different towns in the service area each year. |
